What is Chiro for All?

Chiro for All is a fund to support youth work all over the world. The fund offers financial support to projects that are meaningful to children and young people.

Chiro is the largest youth movement in Flanders and Brussels. Everyone is welcome starting from the age of six. With more than 100,000 members, Chiro is active in almost 900 groups. 

The idea behind Chiro for All

Since 1970 the United Nations calls upon countries to spend 0,7% of their Gross National Product on development cooperation and solidarity projects.

Chiro Flanders supports this call. Therefore, Chiro Flanders sets each year money aside to support youth work around the world. 

Supporting youth work all over the world is very much in line with the values that Chiro considers important. Innermore, justice and caring are embodied in everything Chiro does. From our vision and mission, we find it important to give children and young people abroad the opportunity to participate in any form of youth work.

Who can apply?

Anyone organizing a project that adds value to the strengthening of children, youngsters and youth work. Both legal organisations and informal groups can apply for the support.

How to apply?

Groups or organisations can apply at any moment during the year by filling in the application form. 

However, we will only review applications on the 15th of February and the 15th of September. After these dates, the applications are reviewed and evaluated. It takes about six weeks after the deadline before you know whether your project has been approved.

A project can receive support from Chiro for All up to a maximum of 5000 euros. Of this, 75% is paid in advance and 25% after the project is completed.

The application form

In the application form, applicants give a clear, comprehensive description of their project. In this application, the purpose of the project is inquired, what activities are planned, who will be reached by the project, etc. An overview of the costs is also added to the application form.
